Good evening, gang. Our wild Christmas week of weather rolls on with the potential for strong and severe storms developing late Wednesday into Wednesday night.<\/p>\n

The Storm Prediction Center has much of the state in the slight risk with an elevated risk across the west…<\/p>\n

\"SPC\"<\/a>Damaging wind is the primary threat with this setup, but a few tornadoes could develop across western Kentucky. Winds will be a major player, regardless of thunderstorms. Gusts of 40-50mph will be possible into Thursday morning. Heavy rains will also be noted during this time.<\/p>\n

The action may take a break late Christmas Eve, but should return in widespread fashion on Christmas Day. Heavy rainfall will be possible into the weekend, and that could cause some high water issues. The flood threat is real through Monday.<\/p>\n

Colder air sweeps in behind this system by Tuesday with the models showing a period of winter weather coming later in the week and into the start of the new year. The European Model starts 2016 with this setup…<\/p>\n
