Good Wednesday everyone! Well… what is left of Tropical Storm Fay delivered a nice soaking rain for much of eastern Kentucky. Many areas picked up a good inch or two of rain. Ares farther west didn’t fare so well with only a few showers showing up.

Showers will continue across mainly eastern Ky on our Wednesday. Since we have a tropical air mass in place… some locally heavy rains will continue. Highs will range from the low 80s west of I-75 to the mid 70s in the east. Here is a radar for you to follow through the day…




Thursday will see a return of temps in the middle 80s for most of the state. It should be a rather humid day as well. We will be watching a cold front that will be marching toward the region by Friday as clouds increase with a few showers and storms by later in the day. This will be just in time for the kickoff of the high school football season.

Showers should move out early Saturday leaving us with a good looking rest of the Labor Day Weekend. Slightly cooler and less humid air will be with us Sunday as highs hit the low 80s. The weather looks good for my Cats to take care of business in littlebrotherville!

This weekend will likely be remembered for one other reason… Gustav. This became a hurricane early Tuesday then slammed Haiti and weakened a bit. It will become a hurricane again very soon as it eyes the Gulf Of Mexico. Here is  a sat shot…

That is a scary looking map as we could easily be looking at a major hurricane in the Gulf on Labor Day weekend! You may want to get gas right now as prices may very well be on the way up in the coming days.

Believe it or not… we have 3 other systems in the Atlantic that may become storms over the next week or so. Wow!!!
