Our extreme winter continues across the bluegrass state as record highs are falling. Honestly&#8230; I have never seen a winter with such extreme swings as the one we are in now. Guess what? That&#8217;s probably gonna continue into the first half of March.<\/p>\n<p>Rain is on the way late tonight into Sunday. Some thunder and lightning is even possible. Locally heavy downpours are possible across the Interstate 64 corridor and north&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/?attachment_id=18030\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-18030\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-18030\" src=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/02\/GFS-2-4.png\" alt=\"GFS 2\" width=\"663\" height=\"371\" srcset=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/02\/GFS-2-4.png 663w, https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/02\/GFS-2-4-300x168.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 663px) 100vw, 663px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Other models have that axis of heaviest rain just a littler farther north. If it sets up where that model run suggests, local high water issues will be possible.<\/p>\n<p>The storm system rolling in from late Tuesday through Thursday continues to look like a potent winter storm system.
