Good Wednesday, everyone. Our current temperature pattern across the region is straight out of the first week of May. Our Kentucky Derby week of temps will soon be joined by rounds of showers and thunderstorms that can put down some very heavy rains over the next several days.<\/p>\n

Today will feature mid and upper 70s for much of the state. 80 degrees may show up for the first time this year across the eastern half of the state. Can we get to record highs? There’s a chance.<\/p>\n

Scattered showers and thunderstorms will be noted across western Kentucky through the evening. Much of the state has to wait until late Thursday into Thursday night to get in on the showers and thunderstorms. The models continue to indicate some hefty rain totals through Friday morning…<\/p>\n

After a break in the action Friday into Friday night, additional rounds of showers and thunderstorms develop over the weekend. That will up the rain totals through Monday…<\/p>\n
