Good Saturday, everyone. By early March standards, this is a very tropical feeling weekend across the bluegrass state. Warm temps and high humidity levels will join forces with low pressure to our west to produce rounds of showers and storms.<\/p>\n

A warm front swings northward across the state early today and could spark a shower or thunderstorm. Temps then take off with readings heading into the 70s for many areas. Dew point temps make a run at 60 degrees, but really take off tonight and Sunday. Look at the dew point numbers for Sunday…<\/p>\n

That’s impressive for this time of year and could help spawn a few strong thunderstorms. Watch how the storms increase this evening into early Sunday…<\/p>\n

That’s from the Hi-Res NAM, and it is showing the potential for streaks of torrential rains. through Sunday…<\/p>\n

That shows some pockets of 4″+ of rain from some of the stronger thunderstorms. Given the wet ground in many areas, that could cause additional high water issues.<\/p>\n

The\u00a0scaled down NAM has a more uniform look with the rainfall…<\/p>\n

Given the high humidity levels and thunderstorms in the mix, we will really need to be on guard for possible flash flooding across western and central Kentucky.<\/p>\n

Looking down the road, we find winter trying to fight back by the end of the week into next weekend…<\/p>\n
