We are now into the second half of March and true spring is getting closer and closer to arriving. To get there, we are likely to have to go through some big time temperature swings. Those ups and downs will also bring very active weather our way, with thunderstorms and some snowflakes. Basically, it&#8217;s Kentucky weather.<\/p>\n<p>A cold front is pressing to our east today with cooler air (still above normal) coming in behind it. Gusty winds can top 35mph at times as skies become partly sunny after\u00a0a few isolated\u00a0showers and storms&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/builder.zoomradar.net\/zoomradar_weather_map\/weather_page.php?key=dlFZs5IY4VCw7bK\" width=\"560\" height=\"450\" frameborder=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\" seamless=\"seamless\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/sirocco.accuweather.com\/nx_mosaic_640x480_public\/sir\/inmaSIRKY_.gif\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Temperatures will continue to slowly drop on Thursday with upper 50s and low 60s for highs. Another push of colder air moves in and could produce a shower or thunderstorm as it does.<\/p>\n<p>This sets the stage for a winter looking setup for the coming weekend. We get colder air pushing in as low pressure develops across the south and tries to work up the east coast. The NAM only goes through Saturday morning and gives us this look&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/?attachment_id=18381\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-18381\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-18381\" src=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/NAM-12.png\" alt=\"NAM\" width=\"294\" height=\"383\" srcset=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/NAM-12.png 294w, https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/NAM-12-230x300.png 230w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 294px) 100vw, 294px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>That implies the chance fro some rain and snow. The GFS agrees with the potential to see some flakes. With lots of early season buds and blooms out, some issues from the cold will be possible.<\/p>\n<p>Temps rebound quickly by the middle of next week, when we could hit 70 again. The end result in this type of setup can be some wild weather across the country.<\/p>\n<p>The\u00a0models indicate that as we head into the final week of March.
