Good Thursday, folks. It’s another windy, but mild day taking shape across our part of the world, but the end is near. We have had one heck of a spring ride over the past few weeks with some of the warmest air you will ever find this early in the season. It’s back to reality this weekend as Old Man Winter punches back.<\/p>\n

Let’s start with the good part of the weather program and that’s the weather we have out there today. Highs should still range from 60-65 in many areas under a partly cloudy sky.<\/p>\n

Friday’s weather will be cooler, but nice, with a mix of sun and clouds. Temps should generally be in the 50s.<\/p>\n

Clouds will quickly increase late Friday ahead of our weekend storm system. It’s a setup that can bring rain and snow to the bluegrass state. The NAM and GFS have slightly different solutions, but both show the potential for some snows.<\/p>\n

For now, let’s use the accumulation maps as more of a guide on where the models think the best chance of snows will be.<\/p>\n

Some pretty big differences show up there, but the theme is the same. We’re likely to see snows flying, and maybe some sticking, across our region at some point this weekend.<\/p>\n

Temps rebound quickly by Tuesday into Wednesday as a powerful system looks to gather steam and move through here. This looks potent…<\/p>\n

These kinds of temp clashes can lead to some wild weather across much of the country, and suggest this weekend may not be our last brush with winter weather.<\/p>\n
