We have a very active weather day taking shape across our part of the world. High winds and severe thunderstorms may cause issues for many before the day is over.<\/p>\n<p>A few quick notes on the day:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Winds today are going to be very gusty, with or without thunderstorms. Gusts of 40mph will be possible.<\/li>\n<li>Morning showers and storms will give way to afternoon breaks in the clouds with temps spiking into the 70s for some areas<\/li>\n<li>As our cold front enters from the west, expect lines of thunderstorms to develop in the west. Those storms will then surge eastward across the rest of the state this evening.<\/li>\n<li>The greatest threat for severe weather is across western Kentucky, but the entire state could see some big boomers<\/li>\n<li>Damaging winds, large hail and a few tornadoes will be possible.<\/li>\n<li>The extent of the severe weather will be determined by just how much sun we can get this afternoon.
