Major blasts of cold air are set to invade the bluegrass state over the next week, and potentially beyond. I&#8217;ve harped on this setup for the past few weeks, now it&#8217;s time for Mother Nature to deliver. That looks to be happening and we are in full blown Green Thumb ALERT mode.<\/p>\n<p>A cold front drops into the region this evening with our first shot of real cold for Sunday. This could touch off a shower or two. Winds ahead of this front today can reach 40-50mph at times.
