Good Tuesday, folks. It’s spring, but Old Man Winter does not want to go quietly into the night. Some seriously cold air is on the way to the region later this week, and it’s likely to be accompanied by some snow showers and flurries. I know what your thinking… #$*(%#@!#!!! . Keep it clean, this is a family blog. \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n

Our Tuesday starts with another freeze in many areas with temps in the upper 20s to low 30s. There is still a small threat for an early morning snow flurry.<\/p>\n

The big show arrives Wednesday with showers and thunderstorms increasing. This action will be followed by colder air moving in for Thursday…<\/p>\n

A clipper dives in behind this on Friday, as the pattern goes straight to the heart of winter. Here’s the European Model…<\/p>\n

The snow map from the WeatherBELL European…<\/p>\n

The GFS is a little farther south with this clipper…<\/p>\n

\"GFS\"<\/a><\/p>\n

The model then shows a true plume of snow showers and flurries off Lake Michigan into Saturday…<\/p>\n

That’s absurd to see this time of year, and so is the snow map from the GFS…<\/p>\n

Temps from Friday into the weekend look brutal…<\/p>\n

Keep in mind, normal highs by then are well into the 60s for our part of the world.<\/p>\n

Can we find true spring after all that? The European model continues with an ugly look for next week…<\/p>\n
