Good Saturday, everyone. The cold pattern I’ve harped on since mid March is even worse than I thought it would be for the first part of April. Snowflakes and some sleet mad Friday feel like a day straight out of February. As we roll forward, the colder than normal pattern looks to continue for much of the upcoming week.<\/p>\n

A snow shower or flurry will be possible out there today… Mainly across the central and east. Temps will start out in the 20s and wind up in the upper 30s and low 40s east, to mid and upper 40s far west.<\/p>\n

Another hard freeze will be noted tonight and Sunday morning with readings back in the 20s. Clouds will quickly stream in Sunday afternoon with the potential for a shower or two to develop before the day is over. Showers and some thunderstorms will then become more common later Sunday night into Monday…<\/p>\n

Much colder air sweeps in behind this system Monday night into early Tuesday. There’s an outside chance for some to see a wet snowflake mixing in before the action moves away.<\/p>\n

It’s another healthy shot of below normal temps…<\/p>\n

Can we get a few more lows in the 20s? Very possible…<\/p>\n

Ugh!<\/p>\n

The pattern will flip milder by the end of next week into early the following week…<\/p>\n

This is when we will have to start watching for some big, slow-moving, plains storms systems…<\/p>\n
