Good Monday, everyone. We’re rolling our way into another stormy week across the Commonwealth of Kentucky. Rounds of showers and storms may pack a punch in the upcoming days. The overall setup shows little signs of change in regards to the thunder threat.<\/p>\n

Temps out there today will surge into the 80-85 degree range for some under a mix of sun and clouds. The skies can throw some scattered showers and storms at us any time,\u00a0but we should see a lot of dry\u00a0hours.\u00a0We will have to watch western Kentucky for some strong to severe storms from late today into tonight. I’ll have your tracking tools in a bit.<\/p>\n

Instability increases on Tuesday and that could give us some strong to locally severe storms. The NAM is forecasting the best instability to stay to our southwest…<\/p>\n

That changes on Wednesday with lifted indices really ramping up across the western half of the state…<\/p>\n

That could help fuel some strong to severe storms during this time.<\/p>\n

A strong cold front is going to move in here on Thursday and could also provide us with some booming showers and thunderstorms…<\/p>\n

Much cooler air comes in behind that for Friday with another front arriving Friday night and early Saturday. That may have another round of storms along it…<\/p>\n

Next weekend has a rather chilly look to it and could be similar to the temps we had around the middle of last week.<\/p>\n

As that chill lifts out by next Monday, that will likely lead us into another stormy setup…<\/p>\n

It appears our local “drought” mongers\u00a0may\u00a0be foiled again.\u00a0Not that rain stops them…\u00a0They\u00a0were yelling drought in the middle of the wettest summer on record. \ud83d\ude09<\/p>\n
