It&#8217;s rained 22 of the last 26 days across our part of the world. In addition to the rain, we have been in a very chilly May pattern. That part of our weather is about to change as summer temps surge in this week. Notice I&#8217;m not saying the wet pattern changes.<\/p>\n<p>Today&#8217;s weather looks much better across the region, but a leftover shower or two will be possible across the eastern half of the state. Temps will hit the 70s.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/builder.zoomradar.net\/zoomradar_weather_map\/weather_page.php?key=dlFZs5IY4VCw7bK\" width=\"560\" height=\"450\" frameborder=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\" seamless=\"seamless\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/sirocco.accuweather.com\/nx_mosaic_640x480_public\/sir\/inmaSIRKY_.gif\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Monday looks great with highs from 75-80 under a mostly sunny sky. Tuesday looks even better with readings hitting the 80-85 degree range.<\/p>\n<p>This is when we start to see summer weather really moving in here. High humidity levels move in on Wednesday and could help spawn some big thunderstorms&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/?attachment_id=18987\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-18987\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-18987\" src=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/Canadian-6.png\" alt=\"Canadian\" width=\"354\" height=\"296\" srcset=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/Canadian-6.png 354w, https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/Canadian-6-300x251.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 354px) 100vw, 354px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The pattern setting up for the second half of next week through Memorial Day looks steamy and stormy&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/?attachment_id=18988\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-18988\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-18988\" src=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/GFS-2-8.png\" alt=\"GFS 2\" width=\"458\" height=\"439\" srcset=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/GFS-2-8.png 458w, https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/GFS-2-8-300x288.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 458px) 100vw, 458px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Borderline hot temperatures could give us our first taste of 90 degree temps at some point&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/?attachment_id=18991\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-18991\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-18991\" src=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/GFS-Temps-1.png\" alt=\"GFS Temps\" width=\"578\" height=\"319\" srcset=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/GFS-Temps-1.png 578w, https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/GFS-Temps-1-300x166.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 578px) 100vw, 578px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Rounds of showers and thunderstorms will be common during this time. With such high humidity levels, this is a setup for some severe storms that can dump a ton of rain.<\/p>\n<p>The models have been trying to develop some kind of tropical looking system off the coast of Florida. Some of the Ensembles have been showing whatever that is, to become cutoff across the southeastern part of the country.
