For regular readers of the blog, you know I&#8217;ve been hitting the potential for some late May &#8220;heat&#8221;. That call looks to be in great shape as there is a little bit of sizzle showing up in the days ahead and that carries us into the start of June.<\/p>\n<p>Highs today range from near 80 in the east to the middle 80s in the west. Skies stay partly to mostly sunny.<\/p>\n<p>Muggy air sweeps in for Wednesday and will bring with it the chance for scattered storms. Get used to that for the next week, at least.<\/p>\n<p>Daytime highs through Memorial Day will range from the low and mid 80s to near 90 degrees. It all depends on what happens with the daily threat for showers and storms where you live. That storm chance is real over the weekend&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/?attachment_id=19006\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-19006\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-19006\" src=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/GFS-15.png\" alt=\"GFS\" width=\"715\" height=\"855\" srcset=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/GFS-15.png 715w, https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/GFS-15-251x300.png 251w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 715px) 100vw, 715px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>This will be a very muggy period that takes on a tropical feel. Speaking of, that system we pointed out a few days ago is showing up well off the southeastern seaboard. If that&#8217;s the case, look out, temps can get really toasty.
