Good Friday, folks. Strong and severe thunderstorms caused additional problems across the bluegrass state on Thursday. This is all part of one heck of a stormy pattern across our part of the world. This setup continues out there into the start of the weekend, but things do get better over the next few days.<\/p>\n

Speaking of the next few days, I will throw a little winter talk your way!<\/p>\n

Today’s storms can be strong with some locally heavy rains and pockets of high winds. I’ll get your tracking tools in a bit.<\/p>\n

The models slow this front down just to our south on Saturday. That should allow for\u00a0a few\u00a0showers and storms moving through. The NAM shows the most widespread action…<\/p>\n

The European Model isn’t too far behind…<\/p>\n

The greatest threat for Saturday rain is across the southern half of the state. I\u00a0would think this is fairly scattered with a lot of dry hours.\u00a0Temperatures should be held in check because of clouds.<\/p>\n

Sunday looks much better with mainly dry weather. Soak it up.<\/p>\n

Additional rounds of showers and thunderstorms drop in from the northwest late Monday through Wednesday of next week…<\/p>\n

Temps won’t be bad at all into the middle of next week, but the heat does try to make a run at us by the end of the week.<\/p>\n
