Good Friday, everyone. Our summer of storms continues to throw rounds of boomers across the bluegrass state. The overall pattern shows very little sign of letting up over the next few weeks. As a matter of fact, there’s a chance it ramps it up a notch with some tropical moisture getting into the mix. Sigh.<\/p>\n

Storms early today can drop some very heavy rains across the eastern part of the state. After that, steamy temperatures take control with a break in the action. That will set the stage for more showers and storms to develop from northwest to southeast\u00a0this afternoon and\u00a0evening.<\/p>\n

That action is ahead of a cold front that looks to bring additional storms in here on Saturday…<\/p>\n

Heavy rainfall is a good possibility with theses storms, so additional local flooding issues may develop.<\/p>\n

There is some good news in all this. Sunday’s weather looks very, very nice at the moment. Low and middle 80s with lower humidity levels and mainly dry weather. Wow!<\/p>\n

The fin won’t last long as a storm or two moves back in late Monday, with an increase in the action to follow that. Juice from the Gulf may stream northward into the region…<\/p>\n

Something tropical is going to try and develop in the northern Gulf later next week. That’s something to watch for as additional storms stream in here late in the week…<\/p>\n
