Meteorological summer is certainly going out with a bang with an impressive late season surge of heat and humidity. This action is likely to carry us into the first few days of September. As this happens, we watch the tropics to see what, if any, impact they can have on our weather.<\/p>\n<p>Temps today will generally hit the lower 90s in many areas with a heat index from 95-100 degrees. That&#8217;s gonna leave a mark for those working outside. High school football fans will also have to deal with very steamy conditions.<\/p>\n<p>Isolated showers and storms are also possible.<\/p>\n<p>This same forecast continues into the weekend, with a littler better chance for some scattered storms going up.
