Good Monday, folks. Many of us had a decent drink of water over the weekend as a cold front moved through. That bad boy put down some 3″ rain totals in the east. It also managed to user in some better air for today, but there is more sizzle to come this week. After that, much colder air tries to sweep in.<\/p>\n

Temps today will range from the upper 70s and low 80s east, to the middle 80s in the west. Most of the area will be dry, but I’ve seen a similar atmosphere spit out a surprise shower.<\/p>\n

There may be a healthy west to east temp gradient setting up over the next few days. Julia continues to spin just off the Carolinas and may come far enough west to throw some clouds and showers into the eastern part of Kentucky. Watch this simulated radar from the NAM…<\/p>\n

As that moves away for the second half of the week, temps can take off across the entire region. Upper 80s to near 90 degree highs will be possible into the coming weekend.<\/p>\n

The models continue to advertise a healthy cold front arriving late this weekend into Monday…<\/p>\n

That model run actually shows a secondary cold front unleashing some real deal chill not too far from us by Tuesday and Wednesday of next week…<\/p>\n
