Temperatures have been running well below normal for the better part of the past week, but that all changes this week. Temps will be normal to a little above normal as milder air blows back in. The setup from late this week through next week is interesting, as it will be dictated by what happens with Hurricane Matthew.<\/p>\n<p>We will see a mix of sun and clouds to start the first work week of October with temps in the 70s. There is just enough low-level moisture around to squeeze out isolated showers and storms&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/builder.zoomradar.net\/zoomradar_weather_map\/weather_page.php?key=9nNfA2mOMDiJ4LG\" width=\"560\" height=\"462\" frameborder=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\" seamless=\"seamless\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\" data-mce-fragment=\"1\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/sirocco.accuweather.com\/nx_mosaic_640x480_public\/sir\/inmaSIRKY_.gif\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Temps will range from the mid 70s to low 80s from Tuesday through Thursday. There could be enough moisture to spit out a stray shower or storm, but this period looks mainly dry.<\/p>\n<p>Everything beyond this point depends on what happens with Hurricane Matthew. Here&#8217;s where the storm is now&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.goes.noaa.gov\/GIFS\/HUIR.JPG\" alt=\"Hurricane Infrared GOES East\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The latest forecast from the National Hurricane Center&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.nhc.noaa.gov\/storm_graphics\/AT14\/refresh\/AL1416W5_NL+gif\/174837W5_NL_sm.gif\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The GFS continues to point toward some big problems for the Carolinas by Friday, and potentially into New England this weekend&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/?attachment_id=20102\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-20102\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-20102\" src=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/GFS-3.png\" alt=\"gfs\" width=\"1142\" height=\"1438\" srcset=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/GFS-3.png 1142w, https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/GFS-3-238x300.png 238w, https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/GFS-3-768x967.png 768w, https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/GFS-3-813x1024.png 813w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1142px) 100vw, 1142px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>There is no DIRECT impact from Matthew on our weather, but the GFS does show some ugly weather for Friday night through Sunday morning with gusty showers and chilly air.<\/p>\n<p>The Canadian Model has trended close to what the GFS has been suggesting for a while, and now threatens the Carolinas&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/?attachment_id=20101\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-20101\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-20101\" src=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/Canadian-3.png\" alt=\"canadian\" width=\"808\" height=\"957\" srcset=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/Canadian-3.png 808w, https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/Canadian-3-253x300.png 253w, https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/Canadian-3-768x910.png 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 808px) 100vw, 808px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>It doesn&#8217;t get fully pulled back into New England, but it&#8217;s a definite shift to the west with this run. For us, it doesn&#8217;t have the rain the GFS shows, but has a nice shot of weekend chill.<\/p>\n<p>The new European Model is farther west, faster and gets Matthew to near the Florida coast before turning it up the coast toward the Carolinas&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/?attachment_id=20103\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-20103\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-20103\" src=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/Euro-2.png\" alt=\"euro\" width=\"1146\" height=\"957\" srcset=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/Euro-2.png 1146w, https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/Euro-2-300x251.png 300w, https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/Euro-2-768x641.png 768w, https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/Euro-2-1024x855.png 1024w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1146px) 100vw, 1146px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Looking a little farther down the road, the ensembles are hinting at a decent shot of cool again by late next week.
