Monday&#8217;s system brought the goods to the bluegrass state with heavy rains and high winds. Bowling Green had an incredible 70mph wind gust. Wow! After a mild break in the action today, another rain maker surges back in here tonight and Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p>The models continue to point toward central and eastern Kentucky getting the heaviest rainfall from this system, but they differ in placement.<\/p>\n<p>The NAM continues to be the most robust&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/?attachment_id=20882\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-20882\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-20882\" src=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/NAM-10.png\" alt=\"nam\" width=\"766\" height=\"398\" srcset=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/NAM-10.png 766w, https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/NAM-10-300x156.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 766px) 100vw, 766px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The GFS is too wimpy and far east and that continues to be a bias of this model&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/?attachment_id=20881\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-20881\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-20881\" src=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/GFS-Rain-1.png\" alt=\"gfs-rain\" width=\"796\" height=\"398\" srcset=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/GFS-Rain-1.png 796w, https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/GFS-Rain-1-300x150.png 300w, https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/GFS-Rain-1-768x384.png 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 796px) 100vw, 796px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The Canadian looks more like the NAM&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/?attachment_id=20884\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-20884\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-20884\" src=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/Canadian-15.png\" alt=\"canadian\" width=\"788\" height=\"396\" srcset=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/Canadian-15.png 788w, https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/Canadian-15-300x151.png 300w, https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/Canadian-15-768x386.png 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 788px) 100vw, 788px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>It should be noted the NAM has a pocket of high winds tonight across central and eastern Kentucky. Given the overachieving winds from the last round, this will need to be watched. There&#8217;s a small chance for a rain or snow shower on Friday. But, that&#8217;s not the focus of the forecast. We save that for a system coming out of the southwest this weekend and early next week.<\/p>\n<p>The European Model still has a very potent storm, but not as strong as the prior run&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/?attachment_id=20886\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-20886\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-20886\" src=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/Euro-31.png\" alt=\"euro\" width=\"1144\" height=\"957\" srcset=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/Euro-31.png 1144w, https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/Euro-31-300x251.png 300w, https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/Euro-31-768x642.png 768w, https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/Euro-31-1024x857.png 1024w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1144px) 100vw, 1144px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The Canadian Model is trending closer to what the European has been showing lately, but isn&#8217;t all the way there&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/?attachment_id=20880\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-20880\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-20880\" src=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/canadian-3.gif\" alt=\"canadian\" width=\"1024\" height=\"696\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>It brings one piece of the energy out this weekend, then leaves something meandering around the gulf coast. If all that energy coms out at once, you will get something like what the European Model has been showing.<\/p>\n<p>I would like to show the GFS, but it just does not have a good handle on this whole situation. Unfortunately, your weather apps and human weather apps all rely on this model and nothing else. Sigh.<\/p>\n<p>I will hook you up with another update or two later today.
