Very gusty winds are blowing across the state as temps drop from northwest to southeast. This strong northwesterly wind flow will then kick off snow showers and flurries this evening through Friday.<\/p>\n<p>The best chance continues to be across the central and eastern parts of the state. Winds will continue to be gusty with chilly showers potentially mixing with a snowflake or two&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/?attachment_id=21591\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-21591\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-21591\" src=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/NAM-26.png\" alt=\"nam\" width=\"484\" height=\"440\" srcset=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/NAM-26.png 484w, https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/NAM-26-300x273.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 484px) 100vw, 484px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Gusty showers will continue into New Year&#8217;s Day as temps begin to climb. At this point&#8230; why not? \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n<p>Arctic air will then follow that up later Tuesday night into Wednesday. Some light snows will be possible just behind this boundary working through here.<\/p>\n<p>The setup continues to then favor systems working just to our south and east.
