We have a warm front lifting back to the north across the region and it&#8217;s bringing heavy rain and a clap or two of thunder. Much milder air then surges in here, but a wilder change of air masses is on the way in the coming days.<\/p>\n<p>First and foremost, let&#8217;s track today&#8217;s rain&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/sirocco.accuweather.com\/nx_mosaic_640x480_public\/sir\/inmaSIRKY_.gif\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/builder.zoomradar.net\/zoomradar_weather_map\/weather_page.php?key=dlFZs5IY4VCw7bK\" width=\"560\" height=\"450\" frameborder=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\" seamless=\"seamless\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\" data-mce-fragment=\"1\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Temps head toward 60 behind this front and may stay there all night long. Wow.<\/p>\n<p>The arctic front then moves in Thursday night, erasing the mild from northwest to southeast. Temps by Friday morning drop into the low and middle 30s and this could touch off some freezing rain in the north and west. The WPC outlook for freezing rain from Friday morning through Saturday morning&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/?attachment_id=21919\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-21919\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-21919\" src=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/WPC-1.png\" alt=\"wpc\" width=\"406\" height=\"263\" srcset=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/WPC-1.png 406w, https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/WPC-1-300x194.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 406px) 100vw, 406px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>That follows along with our thinking that northern Kentucky has the greatest risk for some freezing rain.
