Good Monday, everyone. Many areas across central and eastern Kentucky are waking up to a blanket of white. That blanket is fairly thick in some spots, while others are only seeing a thin covering of snow. As we get ready to close out January, where do we go from here?<\/p>\n

Before we talk about that, let’s talk about the today weather. Snow showers will end from west to east this morning with gusty winds and cold temps remaining. Many roads are snow covered to start the day, so please take it easy out there. Enjoy those snow days! \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n

A cold front moves in late Tuesday as winds really increase with this system. Temps spike into the 40s ahead of this, then come crashing down behind it Tuesday night and Wednesday. That’s when some snow showers and flurries will be possible across the north and northeast…<\/p>\n

Another light flake maker tries to zip across the sky late Thursday into Friday, but the focus by then is on a weekend winter storm taking aim at the Ohio Valley. The models continue to be all over the place with this system, but it can bring rain, snow and ice our way depending on the track. Here’s the latest GFS snapshot…<\/p>\n
