The second month of the year is off and running with a cold front draped across the state. This is leading to some vastly different weather from north to south. While this front is fairly weak, other systems showing up over the next week look much, much stronger.<\/p>\n<p>Let&#8217;s start with the trend showing up today. Areas across the far north will see some rain and snow shower action, and I can&#8217;t rule out some very minor accumulations. Track the potential&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.accuweather.com\/radar-large.asp?partner=netweather&amp;traveler=0&amp;site=KY_&amp;type=SIR&amp;anim=1&amp;level=state&amp;large=1#\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/sirocco.accuweather.com\/nx_mosaic_640x480_public\/sir\/inmaSIRKY_.gif\" alt=\"\" usemap=\"#largemap\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>275 at Mineola Pike<br \/>\n<\/strong><em>Near Covington<br \/>\n<\/em><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" id=\"cam-0-img\" title=\"I-275 @ Mineola Pike\" src=\"http:\/\/cmhimg01.dot.state.oh.us\/images\/artimis\/CCTV051a.jpg\" alt=\"I-275 @ Mineola Pike\" width=\"372\" height=\"267\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #292929;\"><strong>I-275 approaching KY 20\/Airport<\/strong><br \/>\n<\/span><em>Near Covington<br \/>\n<\/em><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" id=\"cam-0-img\" title=\"I-275 East of KY 20\/Airport Exit\" src=\"http:\/\/cmhimg01.dot.state.oh.us\/images\/artimis\/CCTV052a.jpg\" alt=\"I-275 East of KY 20\/Airport Exit\" width=\"371\" height=\"252\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Areas across the south will see much better weather with temps reaching the 50s.<\/p>\n<p>Colder air is moving in for Thursday and Friday with the potential for a streak of light snow and flurries working in.<\/p>\n<p>Another system works our way by Saturday night into Sunday. The models differ on the strength of this system. The GFS is now bringing two potent storm systems into our region. Here&#8217;s the first one arriving on Tuesday&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/?attachment_id=22416\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-22416\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-22416\" src=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/IMG_2878.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_2878\" width=\"448\" height=\"479\" srcset=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/IMG_2878.jpg 448w, https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/IMG_2878-281x300.jpg 281w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 448px) 100vw, 448px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>That could result in some potent thunderstorms and high winds.
