Our big surge of spring is taking over our weather pattern out there today and will hang tough for the next week. This could eventually put temps into near record high territory. Does this mean winter is toast? Nope.<\/p>\n<p>Highs today will\u00a0 range from the upper 50s to near 60 in the east with low and middle 60s in the central and west. Skies will be partly to mostly sunny as southwesterly winds begin to crank.<\/p>\n<p>Saturday&#8217;s weather will be tricky\u00a0with a weak system moving in during the afternoon and evening. That will likely bring scattered showers to much of the state&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/?attachment_id=22703\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-22703\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-22703\" src=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/NAM-8.png\" alt=\"NAM\" width=\"420\" height=\"186\" srcset=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/NAM-8.png 420w, https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/NAM-8-300x133.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 420px) 100vw, 420px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Highs ahead of that system can hit 60-65 before dropping into the 50s as the drops fall.<\/p>\n<p>Clouds and a stray shower may linger into Sunday morning, but skies clean up during the afternoon as temps really take off. Low 70s will be likely in the west with 65-70 degrees across the rest of the state.<\/p>\n<p>Near record highs then be possible\u00a0for Monday and Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p>Another system then develops across the south and may throw enough juice our way for some midweek showers and thunderstorms&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/?attachment_id=22704\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-22704\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-22704\" src=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/GFS-19.png\" alt=\"GFS\" width=\"384\" height=\"490\" srcset=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/GFS-19.png 384w, https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/GFS-19-235x300.png 235w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 384px) 100vw, 384px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Once that rolls through here, highs by late Thursday and Friday can get a little out of control.
