Here&#8217;s hoping this post finds each of you enjoying life to the fullest. Our weather looks much better out there today, but the week ahead is going to be another busy one as March roars in like a lion. We will track another big storm system that unleashes some more cold air.<\/p>\n<p>Temps early today are in the 20s, but will recover into the upper 40s to middle 50s across the state. Skies will feature more sun than clouds, but you should see\u00a0 a steady stream of high clouds moving in from the west by evening.<\/p>\n<p>Those clouds are ahead of a very light shower maker zipping quickly in here on Monday.Temps with this will warm into the upper 50s\u00a0to low 60s for many.\u00a0Winds will also increase as much warmer air then surges in Monday night and Tuesday. Scattered showers and thunderstorms may accompany our warm front, but the main action comes ahead of another potent storm.<\/p>\n<p>This develops farther south and east than what we had a few days ago and this may put our region into the Tennessee Valley at risk for severe weather&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/?attachment_id=22833\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-22833\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-22833\" src=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/GFS-29.png\" alt=\"GFS\" width=\"1144\" height=\"475\" srcset=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/GFS-29.png 1144w, https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/GFS-29-300x125.png 300w, https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/GFS-29-768x319.png 768w, https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/GFS-29-1024x425.png 1024w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1144px) 100vw, 1144px\" \/><\/a>Some heavy rainfall totals will be possible with this system. The models have been consistently showing a 1&#8243;-3&#8243; rainfall for much of our region.<\/p>\n<p>Much colder air then sweeps in behind the departing for Thursday with some wraparound snowflakes possible. This sets the stage for a clipper system diving into the Ohio Valley on Friday&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/?attachment_id=22834\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-22834\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-22834\" src=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/GFS-2-13.png\" alt=\"GFS 2\" width=\"756\" height=\"416\" srcset=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/GFS-2-13.png 756w, https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/GFS-2-13-300x165.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 756px) 100vw, 756px\" \/><\/a>That may have a period of light snow and flurries with it to go along with 30s for highs. Thanks, March!<\/p>\n<p>Temps should warm quickly into next weekend, but another cold shot may roll our way early the following week.
