We are coming off a major severe weather outbreak across the bluegrass state. Storms on Wednesday caused all kinds of wind damage with straight line\u00a0gusts approaching 100mph at times. Now comes a small taste of winter weather tonight and early Friday.<\/p>\n<p>This crazy pattern takes place on an historic weather day in Kentucky. March 2nd&#8230; That&#8217;s all you have to say and everyone knows exactly what you&#8217;re talking about. That fateful day back in 2012 produce deadly tornadoes across our region. Here&#8217;s a link to go back and see the live blog I was running that day&#8230; <a href=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/?p=2706\">March 2nd Live Chat<\/a><\/p>\n<p>2 days after that outbreak, it snowed across Kentucky. One could argue this recent outbreak is the most widespread and severe since March 2nd, 2012 and we also have snow in the forecast.<\/p>\n<p>A period of light snow and flurries will work in here tonight and early Friday&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/?attachment_id=22871\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-22871\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-22871\" src=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/GFS-snow.png\" alt=\"GFS snow\" width=\"583\" height=\"986\" srcset=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/GFS-snow.png 583w, https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/GFS-snow-177x300.png 177w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 583px) 100vw, 583px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>That can put down some coatings along the way. Temps may flirt with 70 Monday or Tuesday ahead of another strong cold front.
