Our March pattern has been pretty energetic, so far, and I see no reason to think that won&#8217;t continue. As a matter of fact, the action is likely to increase over the final weeks of the month, and continue right on into April and May.<\/p>\n<p>As always, we start with today and roll forward.<\/p>\n<p>Highs will hit the 60s with mostly cloudy skies and southwesterly winds increasing. A cold front slowly drops our way from the north and should touch off a scattered shower or thunderstorm&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/sirocco.accuweather.com\/nx_mosaic_640x480_public\/sir\/inmaSIRKY_.gif\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>This front moves in here on Tuesday with a much better chance for showers and storms&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/?attachment_id=23175\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-23175\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-23175\" src=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/Canadian-12.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"416\" height=\"496\" srcset=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/Canadian-12.png 416w, https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/Canadian-12-252x300.png 252w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 416px) 100vw, 416px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>I wouldn&#8217;t be surprised if we get some strong storms out of this. Small hail and gusty winds will be possible as that action drops in.<\/p>\n<p>There is a shot of cold coming in behind this, but the majority of it stays to our north. Still, it may be just cold enough for a few flakes to fly in the east Wednesday morning&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/?attachment_id=23179\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-23179\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-23179\" src=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/GFS-14.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"678\" height=\"343\" srcset=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/GFS-14.png 678w, https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/GFS-14-300x152.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 678px) 100vw, 678px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>That action scoots away with a quick recovery in temps by Thursday and Friday. The 60s should return by then as a strong southwesterly flow kicks in ahead of our next system. This arrives over the weekend with fairly widespread showers and thunderstorms&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/?attachment_id=23177\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-23177\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-23177\" src=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/GFS-2-6.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"840\" height=\"985\" srcset=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/GFS-2-6.png 840w, https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/GFS-2-6-256x300.png 256w, https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/GFS-2-6-768x901.png 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 840px) 100vw, 840px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>That&#8217;s a slow mover, but has mild temps with it. We will have to be mindful of the threat for some strong storms and heavy rainfall.<\/p>\n<p>Both of those threats are likely a sign of things to come.
