We have a weak cold front on top of the region today, touching off scattered showers and thunderstorms. Even with the storms, today is another warm day and things will only get warmer from here. In addition to the warm, I&#8217;m also tracking more storm chances.<\/p>\n<p>Today&#8217;s boomers will kick into high gear during the afternoon and evening, with some locally heavy rains. Temps ahead of the storms will spike well into the 70s&#8230;<br \/>\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/builder.zoomradar.net\/zoomradar_weather_map\/weather_page.php?key=9nNfA2mOMDiJ4LG\" width=\"560\" height=\"462\" frameborder=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\" seamless=\"seamless\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\" data-mce-fragment=\"1\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/sirocco.accuweather.com\/nx_mosaic_640x480_public\/sir\/inmaSIRKY_.gif\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Storms move out of the area early Wednesday, with skies becoming mostly sunny by the afternoon. Highs range from 70-75 for most of the state.<\/p>\n<p>Thursday will see mid and upper 70s with a small threat for an afternoon storm.<\/p>\n<p>There is a slightly better chance for storms on Good Friday&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/?attachment_id=23357\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-23357\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-23357\" src=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/GFS-6.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"463\" height=\"486\" srcset=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/GFS-6.png 463w, https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/GFS-6-286x300.png 286w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 463px) 100vw, 463px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Even then, it doesn&#8217;t look anywhere near a washout.<\/p>\n<p>That kicks off a VERY WARM Easter Weekend here in the bluegrass state. But, can we keep the storms away as the Easter Bunny hops into town? That remains to be seen because of a weak front dropping in from the north.
