We are wrapping up the first weekend in May with a frost threat, but overall improving conditions. This doesn&#8217;t mean things are all fine and dandy as\u00a0the week ahead will feature quite a bit of action, with temps that are all over the place.<\/p>\n<p>Today starts with patchy frost across the central and eastern parts of the state. Skies will be partly to mostly sunny with temps likely hitting the low 60s for many, with mid and high 60s west.<\/p>\n<p>There is a greater frost threat tonight and Monday morning with temps making a run at 32 degrees across the central and east. The GFS continues to indicate the potential for a light freeze with some upper 20s showing up&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/?attachment_id=23562\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-23562\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-23562\" src=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/GFS-Temps.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"591\" height=\"325\" srcset=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/GFS-Temps.png 591w, https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/GFS-Temps-300x165.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 591px) 100vw, 591px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Monday&#8217;s temps will be back in the 60s as we get set for a warm front to cross the state Monday night and Tuesday. This is likely to touch off some pretty good thunderstorms across central and eastern Kentucky&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/?attachment_id=23563\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-23563\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-23563\" src=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/NAM.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"385\" height=\"566\" srcset=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/NAM.png 385w, https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/NAM-204x300.png 204w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 385px) 100vw, 385px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Setups like these are usually pretty loud, putting down heavy rains.
