Moisture continues to increase out there today, and that&#8217;s a sign of things to come. Scattered showers and storms will be the opening act to a strong cold front poised to move in here on Friday. That front will usher in some very cool temps, and kick off a wetter overall pattern.<\/p>\n<p>Scattered showers and storms will be common out there today, and some can be strong with very heavy rains&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/sirocco.accuweather.com\/nx_mosaic_640x480_public\/sir\/inmaSIRKY_.gif\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The scattered stuff will be around again on Thursday, but will have a little better coverage. Temps will be back into the 80s.<\/p>\n<p>The cold front arrives on Friday and it will feel like an honest to goodness fall front sweeping in. Winds will be very gusty as temps stay in the 70s. A line of showers and storms will be along and ahead of the boundary&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/?attachment_id=24285\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-24285\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-24285\" src=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/GFS.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"438\" height=\"482\" srcset=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/GFS.png 438w, https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/GFS-273x300.png 273w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 438px) 100vw, 438px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The air coming in behind this is very cool and will send our Saturday morning temps into the 50-55 degree range, with a few upper 40s a possibility.<\/p>\n<p>Highs this weekend are in the 70s with Saturday looking VERY good. Clouds will increase on Sunday with the threat for rain arriving. This begins a wet looking setup with additional systems working across the region.
