Our stormy pattern of the spring has returned to our part of the world and it looks to stick around for a while. That means you get to enjoy more of the usual radars and thunder tracking toys.

In sticking with the persistent theme of the weather… let’s start things out with a headline breakdown…

– A slow moving cold front will approach the state today. Juicy air ahead of this system will spawn more rounds of thunderstorms as the day goes on. Some of these will be strong or severe with damaging winds and large hail possible.

– The cold front will finally move through with more showers and storms for Thursday. Some could be a little on the frisky side.

– As we have seen in recent days… any storm that goes up can put down a lot of water in a short amount of time. This may lead to localized flash flooding.

– Temps today will be in the mid and upper 80s outside of any boomers. The air will feel tropical as humidity levels will be way up.

– The front blowing through here Thursday is likely to put the brakes on just to our south. This may allow for scattered showers and thunderstorms to hang around into the weekend. I have seen situations like this in the past turn rather stormy so we will have to keep an eye on this.

– Temps by the weekend will come down with highs in the upper 70s and lower 80s.

Ok… it’s that magical time of the blog post when we give you some tools to track the storms. We have mixed things up a little bit to keep you on your toes. Enjoy…

Today’s Severe Weather Threat

Current Watches

Thursday’s Severe Threat

will have updates as needed and will send out thoughts via twitter.
