We have another front touching off scattered showers and storms out there today, but the focus of the forecast is on big changes coming next week. We are going back into the fall-like pattern we had for the first half of August. Can this one just go ahead and lead into an early fall? Maybe.<\/p>\n<p>Highs today are in the 80s with scattered showers and storms going up. Here&#8217;s the latest cloud forecast from the GFS&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/?attachment_id=24435\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-24435\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-24435\" src=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/GFS-GIf-7.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"660\" height=\"510\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The NAM&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/?attachment_id=24436\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-24436\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-24436\" src=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/NAM-3.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"660\" height=\"510\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The most fascinating thing to me about all this is the drop in temps as the eclipse is occurring. Temps may tumble by more than 10 degrees as we lose the sun for a while.<\/p>\n<p>Beyond the eclipse comes a big change for the middle and end of next week. A strong cold front drops in from the northwest with an increase in showers and storms Tuesday into Wednesday&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/?attachment_id=24429\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-24429\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-24429\" src=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/Euro-14.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"764\" height=\"971\" srcset=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/Euro-14.png 764w, https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/Euro-14-236x300.png 236w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 764px) 100vw, 764px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Temperatures come way down behind this front for the second half of next week into next weekend.
