Labor Day weekend is here and it&#8217;s the time of year many folks start looking forward to fall temps. That&#8217;s not the case this year, because the fall temps were here way before Labor Day. The air for the week ahead continues to look very cool, with the potential to flirt with record lows by late week.<\/p>\n<p>Let&#8217;s begin with today and roll forward. Highs are back into the 70s for the entire region with a mix of sun and clouds, but\u00a0I can&#8217;t totally rule out an isolated shower or storm going up. The same goes for Labor Day Monday.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/sirocco.accuweather.com\/nx_mosaic_640x480_public\/sir\/inmaSIRKY_.gif\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>A strong cold front moves in here Tuesday with gusty winds and showers and storms sweeping in. This front slows down as a wave of low pressure develops along it, keeping showers around into Wednesday. A few of those showers may linger into Thursday. Here&#8217;s the GFS&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/?attachment_id=24603\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-24603\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-24603\" src=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/canadian-2.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"786\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The air behind this front keeps our temps WAY below normal through the week into the weekend&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/?attachment_id=24597\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-24597\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-24597\" src=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/GFS-2-1.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"786\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Highs are generally in the 60s with lows in the 40s. That&#8217;s insane and awesome all at once. \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n<p>Hurricane Irma is a beast out in the Atlantic and continues to look like a threat to the east coast next weekend or early the following week.
