I promised to drop by for a quick update on Hurricane Irma and the impact it will have on the US and, possibly, Kentucky.<\/p>\n<p>Irma has had winds of 185mph now for more than 24 straight hours and no other hurricane has ever stayed this strong for that long. That goes for the Atlantic basin or the eastern Pacific. WOW!!<\/p>\n<p>Here&#8217;s the latest on Irma&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.goes.noaa.gov\/GIFS\/HUIR.JPG\" alt=\"Hurricane Infrared GOES East\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" id=\"coneimage\" src=\"http:\/\/www.nhc.noaa.gov\/storm_graphics\/AT11\/refresh\/AL112017_5day_cone_no_line_and_wind+png\/205603_5day_cone_no_line_and_wind.png\" alt=\"cone graphic\" \/><\/p>\n<p>My fear is that Irma stays a Cat 5 right up until a potential landfall in Florida.
