We are dealing with a very mild and busy weather pattern taking shape across our part of the world. This setup means rounds of some showers and storms, with a heavy rain threat next week. That happens when colder air tries to crash in.<\/p>\n<p>Let us begin with the precious present and roll forward.<\/p>\n<p>Highs today may hit 70 or a little better for areas getting in on some sunshine. For the rest, it&#8217;s ONLY mid and upper 60s with a mix of sun and clouds. We could also see a scattered shower or storm around&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/sirocco.accuweather.com\/nx_mosaic_640x480_public\/sir\/inmaSIRKY_.gif\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/builder.zoomradar.net\/zoomradar_weather_map\/weather_page.php?key=9nNfA2mOMDiJ4LG\" width=\"560\" height=\"462\" frameborder=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\" seamless=\"seamless\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\" data-mce-fragment=\"1\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Showers and storms increase on Friday as a weak front gets into the region. That front puts the brakes on and goes back to the north over the weekend, allowing for the very mild setup to continue. Scattered showers and storms will also be back with us, but we will see many dry times. Sunday&#8217;s temps may surge deep into the 70s.<\/p>\n<p>A stronger cold front moves in with a stout line of showers and storms for Monday. Strong to severe storms are a possibility late Sunday into Monday across the Ohio Valley.<\/p>\n<p>That front then checks up, allowing for rounds of showers and storms to roll eastward through the region.
