Our day is starting off with a line of strong thunderstorms racing across the Commonwealth. This is ahead of a cold front that is ready to throw on the brakes across southern Kentucky. That allows more rain to develop, leading to a soggy period through the middle of a colder week.<\/p>\n<p>Our early day storms will slowly diminish as they cross the state, with high winds the main player. Some local 1&#8243;+ rain amounts are possible early on. The wet weather comes with chilly air pushing back into the state from the north and northwest on Tuesday. Highs on Friday may be upper 30s and low 40s after a morning in the low and middle 20s.
