Good Saturday to one and all. We have a chilly weekend underway across the bluegrass state. As a matter of fact, things are starting off downright frigid for many. Now we track clouds and an increase in showers by later Sunday. The longer range keeps showing a winter look for Thanksgiving week.<\/p>\n

Let’s start with where we are today. Temps are deep into the 20s to begin our Saturday, with wind chills in the mid and upper teens. Clouds will filter in through the day, keeping parts of central and eastern Kentucky in the 40s for highs.<\/p>\n

Showers move in on Sunday as temps likely stay in the 40s for many areas. This isn’t a lot of rain, but it will dampen things up pretty good into early Monday. Here are the rain totals…<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>Low clouds are likely to linger into Monday, giving us another chilly day. The NAM keeps most areas in the 40s…<\/p>\n

Our next front quickly races in here on Wednesday and brings more rain to the region…<\/p>\n

Seasonal temps continue behind this front, but a much more potent storm system will then impact our region Friday and early Saturday. This one may bring very gusty winds and heavy rains back into town…<\/p>\n

That’s a big time system wrapping up across the Ohio Valley and Great Lakes. You can see the colder air coming in behind this for next weekend. That sets off a pattern featuring a deepening trough across the east for Thanksgiving week. The GFS Ensembles show how the colder than normal temps become entrenched across the region through the big holiday…<\/p>\n
