<\/p>\nGood Saturday, everyone. It’s a rather bumpy day across the bluegrass state as a powerful cold front swings through here. High winds are going to be a big player, but a line of thunderstorms will try to steal part of the show. Once we get done with this, a small taste of winter blows in.<\/p>\n
I know this is super short notice, but it’s something you guys may be interested in. We are having a WKYT Weather Watcher class this morning at 10 at the WKYT studios in Lexington. We have had some last minute space become available to those wanting to participate. We have some cool WKYT goodies to give you and you will get a tour of the studio. Just be there at the station by 10 this morning and I will find a way to squeeze ya in. \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n
The winds is the star weather player of the weekend. Gusts today will easily reach 40-50mph at times across the entire region. A few spots can exceed 50mph, especially as the line of storms moves in this afternoon and evening. Some of those storms may be strong or locally severe. Temps ahead of our front hit the 60s, then quickly drop into the 30s a few hours behind it. There’s the chance for a few flurries Saturday night as the cold air surges in.<\/p>\n
