Good Tuesday evening everyone. The threat for severe thunderstorms has just about ended across the state. The action looks to stay just to our south, but may try to clip far southeastern Kentucky later this evening.

Heavy bands of showers and thunderstorms will continue across the eastern half of the state with up to another inch possible. Some areas have been dealing with high water issues from the 1″-2″ rains from earlier today, so this will have to be watched.

High winds are kicking up right now and this trend will continue into the evening. Gusts of 35mph will be possible along a cold front sweeping eastward.

Another update will come your way later this evening as I focus more on the chances for accumulating snows early next week.
