Good Friday to one and all and welcome to a weekend of changes and storms. We have a solid cold front moving into the region over the next few days and this will increase the threat for some big storms and usher in some very pleasant temps. It is also a sign of things to come as our overall pattern looks to flip around for the rest of the month.

Parts of the region got in on some big time storms Thursday and I suspect a few more of those around today. Damaging winds and large hail will again be the big players. Outside of any storms… temps will head back into the upper 80s and lower 90s.

The cold front will be knocking on our door for the second half of Saturday and should increase the severe weather threat around here. This front has some much cooler and drier air moving in behind it for Sunday. This shows up well on the European Model…



Temps for Sunday and Monday may end up topping out around 80 for many areas with lows dipping into the 50s.

As the heat tries to fight back in for Wednesday… yet another front will dive in from the northwest with more showers and storms and another shot of pleasant air…



Those two maps look an awful lot alike and really show how this pattern is changing toward a stormier and cooler one in the coming weeks.
