Good Thursday afternoon everyone. The threat for severe thunderstorms is on the increase this afternoon and evening across much of the state with the best chance being across the north. A new SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH<\/STRONG> has been issued for far northeastern Kentucky until 8pm

Damaging winds and large hail are the star players for the storms today. These boomers will also put down a ton of rain in a short amount of time and this could lead to local flash flood issues.
