It&#8217;s a windy and cold day in the bluegrass state, as we continue to focus on additional rounds of light snow for the week ahead.<\/p>\n<p>There&#8217;s nothing to change about my overall thoughts on the pattern. We have several light snow chances lined up from Monday night through Friday.<\/p>\n<p>The clipper moving in Monday night and Tuesday will likely be able to get a true northwesterly wind going behind it, leading to widespread snow showers and squalls across central and eastern Kentucky. The HI-RES NAM shows some help from Lake Michigan&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/?attachment_id=26514\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-26514\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-26514\" src=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/NAM-5.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"783\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>There&#8217;s a chance this outperforms what we just went through on Saturday. Pockets of 1&#8243;+ snows are possible with that scenario.<\/p>\n<p>Winds will be super gusty as temps crash all day long on Tuesday. The same HI RES NAM has single digit wind chills by evening&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/?attachment_id=26515\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-26515\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-26515\" src=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/NAM-6.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"893\" height=\"603\" srcset=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/NAM-6.png 893w, https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/NAM-6-300x203.png 300w, https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/NAM-6-768x519.png 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 893px) 100vw, 893px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Another system rolls in here late Wednesday into early Thursday, bringing the potential for some light snow&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/?attachment_id=26513\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-26513\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-26513\" src=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/Canadian-7.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"834\" height=\"489\" srcset=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/Canadian-7.png 834w, https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/Canadian-7-300x176.png 300w, https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/Canadian-7-768x450.png 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 834px) 100vw, 834px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>That is being pushed by a potent upper level system that takes on a bit of a negative tilt by Friday. Watch how the trough axis leans backward by Friday&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/?attachment_id=26512\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-26512\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-26512\" src=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/canadian-2.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"786\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>That suggest this system has room to grow stronger in future runs.
