We are putting the wraps on a wintry weekend across the bluegrass state, with more winter weather on tap for the week ahead.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m going to keep this update rather short, so let&#8217;s get into it.<\/p>\n<p>Our next light snow maker arrives late Monday night into Tuesday as another system works into the Ohio Valley from the northwest. This will kick off a strong northwesterly wind flow, with periods of light snow and snow showers. Here&#8217;s the HI-RES NAM&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/?attachment_id=26522\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-26522\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-26522\" src=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/NAM-6.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"783\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>That&#8217;s a stronger northwest flow than what we had Saturday evening, and may even contain some true snow squalls. Local snow amounts may hit 1&#8243; or\u00a0a littler better if some bands set up.<\/p>\n<p>Here&#8217;s my initial look at&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/?attachment_id=26520\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-26520\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-26520\" src=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/Special-2-1.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"646\" height=\"367\" srcset=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/Special-2-1.png 646w, https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/Special-2-1-300x170.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 646px) 100vw, 646px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>I will try to get more specific with that later tonight and on Monday.<\/p>\n<p>Additional light snow makers move in here for the rest of next week. I won&#8217;t rehash those from my earlier post.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m watching the trends for Christmas weekend and I&#8217;m seeing the potential for a lot of cold flooding the country.
