Here&#8217;s hoping this update finds each of you enjoying a blessed Christmas holiday period. I&#8217;m not going to take much of your time, as we have light snow to track on this Christmas eve. But, I&#8217;m also looking briefly down the weather road.<\/p>\n<p>Our afternoon mix of light rain and light snow changes over to a period of light\u00a0snow into the evening, lasting into the wee hours of Christmas morning across the east. Lots of coatings to near an inch are possible after the sun goes down. The best chance remains across the north.\u00a0 Will everyone see the entire ground covered? Probably not.<\/p>\n<p>Road conditions will go downhill after the sun sets as temps crash through the 20s from northwest to southeast. Winds will be gusty, giving us single digit wind chills by Christmas morning.<\/p>\n<p>Another light snow and flurry maker rolls in here Christmas night into Tuesday&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/?attachment_id=27000\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-27000\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-27000\" src=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/Canadian-18.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"1030\" height=\"353\" srcset=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/Canadian-18.png 1030w, https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/Canadian-18-300x103.png 300w, https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/Canadian-18-768x263.png 768w, https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/Canadian-18-1024x351.png 1024w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1030px) 100vw, 1030px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>That&#8217;s falling into an arctic air mass pressing in from the northwest, so whatever falls will be powdery in nature. Light accumulations are very possible.<\/p>\n<p>From there, we watch two systems coming in behind that. One impacting our weather by Thursday and Friday, with the other coming quickly behind that next weekend. The GFS with these two&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/?attachment_id=27001\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-27001\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-27001\" src=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/GFS-GIf-20.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"786\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>With the arctic air in place, the Thursday\/Friday system is likely to be a light event. By New Year&#8217;s Weekend, temps may tank.
