Our wild weather weekend is about to end on a wintry note with a swath of accumulating snow tonight into early Monday. This should be enough to cause slick travel and lead to some cancellations and delays. Yes… this is happening two days after one of the worst tornado outbreaks to hit the state in recent memory.<\/p>\n
Much colder air is in place today and temps may not reach 40 in some areas. Clouds will increase this afternoon as a clipper dives in from the northwest. Snow ill develop along and north of the track and some of the snow could be locally heavy at times. This has the look of a 2″-4″ swath of snow… but where? It is important to note that both models are showing 4″+ totals within the heart of the snow swath. I will have a snow forecast map out later today.<\/p>\n
This is not good news for the thousands of people who continue to pick up the pieces from the recent deadly tornadoes.
