The NWS upgraded areas of Central Kentucky to a Winter Storm Warning through this afternoon. A Winter Weather Advisory continues across the east&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/?attachment_id=27620\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-27620\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-27620\" src=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/01\/Warnings-5.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"371\" height=\"267\" srcset=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/01\/Warnings-5.png 371w, https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/01\/Warnings-5-300x216.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 371px) 100vw, 371px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>We may see eastern Kentucky upgraded to a warning soon, as similar snows sweep through. This slow-moving band of snow is producing areas of 4&#8243;+ snows, with the bitterly cold temps really enhancing the ratios. A few pockets of 6&#8243; will show up with such a slow-mover.<\/p>\n<p>The bitterly cold temps are also a huge player. Many areas will struggle to get to 10 degrees this afternoon, with well below zero temps possible tonight.
