Good Saturday, everyone. Drip, drip, drip… That’s what many of us are hearing out there today as temps continue to climb. The milder air will continue to settle in and will bring some showers back into the bluegrass state, giving us\u00a0a free car wash from Mother Nature.<\/p>\n

Highs out there today will reach the 40s under a mix of clouds and sun. A shower or two will try to go up during the afternoon and evening…<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Shower chances will increase on Sunday with temps making a run into the 50s. You will have many dry hours out there, too, but keep the umbrellas around.<\/p>\n

Our cold front sweeps in here on Monday, with gusty winds and an increase in showers…<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Temps will drop behind this front Monday night and early Tuesday, possibly bringing a few snowflakes back into town…<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Much milder air then presses back in here for the middle and end of next week. Temps make a run at 60 on a strong southwesterly wind. That’s ahead of our next storm system rolling toward the region by next weekend…<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

That can have another quick-hitting shot of winter behind it, but temps rebound quickly thereafter.<\/p>\n

When can winter take control again? That’s likely to happen shortly after flipping the Calendar to February. Those changes are already showing up on the models and are showing similar signals to what I picked up on in the middle of December…<\/p>\n

In the Pacific, a trough develops east of Hawaii, with low pressure near the Aleutian Islands, and a big ridge going up the west coast of North America. This happens as some blocking attempts to get going near Greenland on the Atlantic side. That trough in the middle of the country would then dig in across the east. You can see the very cold air back involved with the pattern…<\/p>\n
