Gusty showers and thunderstorms continue to push across Kentucky, as a cold front marches in from the west.\u00a0This front ushers in much colder air for the next few days, with a few snowflakes flying around.<\/p>\n<p>Here are your radars to track the evening storms&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/sirocco.accuweather.com\/nx_mosaic_640x480_public\/sir\/inmaSIRKY_.gif\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/builder.zoomradar.net\/zoomradar_weather_map\/weather_page.php?key=9nNfA2mOMDiJ4LG\" width=\"560\" height=\"462\" frameborder=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\" seamless=\"seamless\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\" data-mce-fragment=\"1\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>That colder northwesterly flow can touch off some rain and snow showers Tuesday, with a few flakes trying to linger into early Wednesday. The Hi-Res NAM is most enthusiastic about the flake potential&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/?attachment_id=27734\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-27734\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-27734\" src=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/01\/NAM-8.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"783\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Temperatures then rebound to above normal by the end of the week, ahead of another system moving in for the weekend. This cold front will spawn showers and a few thunderstorms along it, as it rolls in. Do we get a wave of low pressure to develop along the front? If so, that enhances the potential for the rain to end as some snow. This likely lasts into the first few days of February, with a major switch back to winter showing up. A few days ago, I posted a map showing the same signals I was getting weeks before our recent bitterly cold pattern showed up.
