Good Sunday everyone. What a weather weekend we are wrapping up across the bluegrass state. A big blue sky and plenty of sunshine have been with us over the past few days and that trend continues out there today. This is ahead of some scattered showers and storms that move in later tonight. Those boomers will usher in a very warm pattern that has a hint of a summer look to it.<\/p>\n

High temps today should hit the low and mid 60s for most of the state. There is the chance for some late day showers and storms across far western Kentucky and this action slides eastward overnight. Check out the NAM Simulated Radar…<\/p>\n

The initial action should move through pretty quickly early Monday as warm air pushes it to our east. We will clear the skies out in the afternoon and this may allow for some additional thunderstorms to flare up. We will need to watch for a strong storm or two during this time. High temps will reach the mid and upper 60s in the east and low 70s in the west.<\/p>\n

Did someone say 70s? We have a super warm pattern ahead of us this week that will feature daily highs in the low and mid 70s. Upper 70s will be possible on any one day that features enough sunshine. We will even throw a touch of humidity into the mix to give us a March version of summer.<\/p>\n

Wow!!\u00a0That is a serious case of spring fever breaking out for most of North America\u00a0with many areas seeing temps running\u00a0more than 20 degrees above normal.<\/p>\n

Things aren’t all good as this is also a pattern that will feature\u00a0a daily threat for some showers or thunderstorms through next weekend. The 7 day rainfall forecast from the GFS\u00a0shows this well…<\/p>\n
